I still visit the profiles of old friends here, some that I know seldom if ever, revisit the site. Others are departed from life itself. I revisit their comments on my posts on other sites as well. I'll find one and say, well, wasn't that nice? This is eloquently poignant. I enjoyed and I relate. F.

As do I. They are like monoliths on a partways barren land.
I love this poem. I'll often get sad thinking about my friends who've left this site. It's not so much that they're gone (although that's bad too), but more that they left without a trace. This poem captures that feeling perfectly with its analogies. The last couple of lines speak volumes. Great work!
Waving, here... still. People disappeared, some without a word, other's sick of health, others sick of erratic techno usage, different reasons.. often sad. Sometimes tis like the good old days, sometimes not.. it's life..
Truly hope you pop in again and search for old friends who thought you'd gone to the moon. Happy landing, hope you stay. :) Emma

Truth.. but many leave their work behind for different reasons... some die.... ... sad... I miss so many that have traveled on... or became broken by the indifference .................
spot on Relic ... to many abandoned and i absolutely love your "pinned to a page
like wanted posters" closing ... well said .. well said indeed! reading kind of takes a weight off the missing of people .. i guess its knowing others feel the same ..we are not alone eh!?

you hit the nail on the head with this one. You do have a way with words. I have so many accounts I can't keep up, lol. I basically use WC as a place to back up my poetry, but it is always nice when someone comments on something I have written. I do try to visit others, as it gets more traffic through my profile. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Great piece!
I've been an amateur scribbler since 2009. You can also find me on Stars Rite under my real name Tim. Many of those poems are from this account. more..
