Sweet Ahnjolie

Sweet Ahnjolie

A Poem by Relic
"

To a fine poetess.

"
An opulence of mirth befell
upon my soul and eyes as well,
the spirit of a poet's pen
which fixed in me a trance, and then,

within her words a rich delight,
a maiden had attained her knight
through tenderness and breadth of kiss;
a custom that bestows sweet bliss.

And with this poem, the words revealed
an inspiration long concealed.
Tis now I see, what poems can be
when written by sweet ahnjolie.

Thanks so much, Julie.
Dearest Timothy...
Thank you for the most precious compliment I could ever wish for...and I mean that most sincerely. For you to simply say that you enjoyed my writing would have been lovely...but, you ventured far beyond that and expressed yourself in such a way that I am at a loss for words. Thank you is so inadequate. You have touched my heart with your beautiful words, and you shall never be forgotten. I hope to repay the extraordinary compliment to you...my dearest friend.

Soft smiles for you...
Ahnjolie

you`re welcome
Wonderfully seamless in flow, enjambment, syntax, with wondrous rhymes and imagery to make an olde bard's heart dance as if a sallow, smitten youth once more … and, ohhh, the perfect picture!
Tim,
I'm not saying I've read your every piece, but I cannot conceive that anything you've done could best this straight-from-the-heart verse of sheer affection and admiration in homage to our dear Sweet Ahnjolie, and her incomparable heavenly gifted pen.
I am astonished she's not yet reviewed this for you, My Friend, but I am certain she will, and when she does, I'd love to hear her sighhh*

What else to say, except I dearly love it … a happy brotherly hug for this-un! ⁓ Richard : )

Ahhh - so!
Hmmm. Neophyte you say? Pertaining to you? A simple, elegant piece to honour a poet you admire. Nothing wrong with being honest and straight forward.
