I always thought that there'd be mayhem with people staring at their smart phones as they crossed roads oblivious to everything but likes, but the real danger is when you're in a shopping mall and don't dodge through all the sightless that think manners matter less than likes.
If you dare brush against them they will huff and puff, tut snd moan, like it was your fault and they are far too busy to be looking out for danger.
Yet the mayhem seems to continue which leaves me saying what I've been saying for years...the gene pool needs way more chlorine! 😀
Man, am I glad to read this! Such a breath of fresh air after the atrocities I've been seeing the past half-decade masquerading as poetry. But this!? No mask here. These stanzas are clouds, these line breaks the breathy crevices between the atmospheric puffs that float on by. The message cliché but rendered personal and boldly profound and one of the better presentations (and representations) of this societal descent into oblivion. We're all shadows, glimpses on the brink of a blink that dissipate at second glance. Then replaced. Well done!
I've been an amateur scribbler since 2009. You can also find me on Stars Rite under my real name Tim. Many of those poems are from this account. more..
