Holy Water

Do other poets

worship rainy days?

Do they also stand at windows 

as though in church pews

peering out

towards glossy streets,

at dripping leaves 

trying to gleam any kind of wisdom

under gray filtered skies?

As though its sermons 

were meant to teach us?
