This is my first post, I wanted to express myself after the passing of someone very close to me

Sunlight comes reaching in
Illuminates our skin
We observe the light of day
Adventures of all we shared
It made me think of you
And what we became

I feel your heart slowly beating
As the bright lights go down
I hold your hand, sitting by your side
If these wings could fly
