The Bus Ride *April 6, 1993*

This is something very personal.

I sat there on the bus,
You and your friends got on,
You all sat around me.

Collectively, you started to touch me,
In places I didn't want you to.

I begged you to stop,
With no avail.

You kept touching and wouldn't stop,
Do you know how you hurt me,
in a way no other could.

Why did you do it,
Why wouldn't you stop?

What would you have done,
If we have been in a park?

Would you have done more?
Would you have raped me?

But who knows what will happen,
when the court date comes.

So answer me one question,
Who gave you the right to touch me,
the way you did?
