New birthdays lie

Parents lie

Siblings lie

New schools lie

Qualifications lie

New friends lie

New experiences lie

Directions disappoint

New hobbies lie

New jobs lie

New careers lie

New relationships lie

They all promise fulfilment

but never truly and with

lasting effect deliver.
