towards the abyss...

I know you would love to flee from the dread you feel, from the inner disquiet that never ceases.
Why me? I hear you ask? what have I done to deserve this? Why so inconsolable? 
Will the flood gates, that open to constant anxiety, ever close and remain shut?
Grief and calamity, tribulation and anguish are such heavy burdens to bare, but bare you must. 
People can’t understand nor imagine how you feel, those closest are furthest away.
The impossibility of speaking the truth, as the truth is impossible to utter, who could know it?
Desperation does not follow, it pursues, day after night as you are driven by the King of Terrors towards the abyss...
