John (and the rest of the Skeylans) were amazed to see my wound was healing, they had never seen anything like it.

Today it rained for the first time I had been here.  I was pleased to be cooled off, but the Skeylans were acting like it was a natural disaster, they spent the whole storm inside their homes.  If I’m honest, they seemed afraid of the rain.

From their homes, they were amazed to see me happily sitting out in the rain.  I later learned that water is an irritant to Skeylans, like acid.

I myself, greatly enjoyed the rain, mostly because it was warm, even approaching hot.  It was like being in a giant hot shower.
