Fortunate To BeA Poem by ICE
"Fortunate To Be... part 1.0" Dark. Barren, Of the soul That I let Them rip from me. This poet screams Words That cannot be heard. Cries That match the lies You told: As you vehemently say You love me... Cold hearted A*s-hole May you want For everything, And get Nothing. For it is all You deserve. Liar, Look me in the eyes And promise me It won't happen again... She means nothing to you? If that is so... Then were do I stand. This Poet Does not understand This man Who caresses With the strike of a snake June 9th 2009 "Fortunate To Be... part 1.1" She screams words That cannot be heard And cries because of The lies you told... I love you he says And turns around To spat on that love Which he'd expressed Only moments before Walking out the door. He lies and tells her That the woman Lying in his arms Means nothing Though she's been his lover For longer that he's Loved her. She spits in his face And calls him a liar Only to be met With the palm of his hand. June 9th, 2009 © 2009 ICEAuthor's Note
