Missing LoveA Story by JD-ChAoSPart One: Last Meet
It was evening. The fiery ball of fire was setting into the horizon, radiated its rays in all direction and brushed up the sky into colourful heaven. I was dating with Kate,my girlfriend, by the seaside. We were holding hands while walking at the seashore, leaving a trail of footsteps behind us.
"John."She whispered. "Yeah?"I said while we swung our hands back and forth as we were walking . " You love me, right?" She asked and blushed. I could feel her grip getting tighter. "Yes,I love you and will always love you for the rest ofmy life . Why do you ask such question?"I blushed as I said that. We stopped walking and sat down on the rough sand and remained quiet for a few minute while watching the ocean swallowed the fireball, darkness took over the beach as the sun set . As the sun was setting, i lay down on my back and stared at the sky. I could make out a few animal shapes from the clouds. She finally spoke, " It's nothing. I just feel like asking." I sat up . "Well then, I shall give you the proper answer,my lovely princess." I shifted myself closer to her and stared into her beautiful eyes. " I love you, Kate. More than anyone else. No one can replace my love for you. You are very important to me,to my life. I cant imagine living without you. This world will be imperfect without you. Kate,I love you. You are the apple of my eye." I move forward to kiss her on the lips but she turned away. I don't know if it was just my imagination or did she really look sad?"John, no matter what you do, remember, I still love you. I will still love you."She said. "What's wrong,Kate? You look...weird today. " I asked. She kept quiet. After a few minutes, she said " I got to go. I should be home now." "Let me send you back." I said. " No thanks." She stood up and walk away, towards her car. I watched her going away and felt uneasy. I somehow felt that it will be the last time we will meet. It was the last time indeed. © 2014 JD-ChAoS |
