It's about a stranded survivor of a tragic storm and his tragic demise.

Note in a bottle.

A soda bottle floats passively in the ocean

It rocks back and forth, so small, unnoticed

Insignificant to all but the sender

He has put all his hope in the bottle

Scratched in to a small palm leaf

A few important words in a language

That no one can read

 

A soda bottle floats in the ocean

Alone, without a companion

Much like the stranded sender

A flotsam bottle, rubbish

To most people, to him a lifeline

Tossed from a remote island

That no one can find

 

A soda bottle sinks in the ocean

Just like the ship that cast him aside

Wrecked by a ferocious storm

As the bottle sinks, so does his hope

The hope that one day he could be saved

But he has come to realise

That no one can save him
