Summer with shimmering waterA Poem by MitchNephetsI wrote this in the summer, it's about how I felt. Enjoy.Summer, it’s the key to a vault of long forgotten memories within my mind. Long days, late nights, just perfect surroundings for something special. Long forgotten memories of times when things were easy with no worries, some may call it ignorance but I call it paradise. It’s the time to relax and have fun and that’s what I plan to do. On the train and all I can see is the shimmers of light bouncing off the rippling river, as I’m flying past with a cola in one hand and a pen in the other. It’s beautiful, like nothing I’ve seen before, I have a flash back to much simpler days where I didn’t have to worry about adult things, it’s peaceful, I can relax and elapse into a world of my own filled with shimmering water. Suddenly my troubles return, annoying, frustrating and painful, I can never escape them, but with the water by my side I can. Just for a little while at least. © 2011 MitchNephetsAuthor's Note
