The Great Hollow ManA Poem by Ikai27Still in progress , but when I get emotional , my mind starts to shift in a figurative speech
" Between the motion and the act , falls the shadow"-T.S. Eliot Hollow Men
What action would I have , as a forgiving sinner? I am viewed as man. A man of compassion , love and all that is good What a man , they say. But the truth knows I am a sinner deep inside. I have failed the father who I have forsaken. I have failed my mother , who speaks insanity. I am a the pinnciple of greatness , but I am beggar I am poor and rich and poor again , because because I am hollow. Hollow! Hollow ! Hollow ! Each though I carry , echos in my hollow soul. My thoughts of ring over and over, but it is beautiful music. However , the true beauty of my chorus of thoughts will not echo, But rejoice in pure resonance when my true nature comes out.
Oh , sweet bliss it would be to hear my true chorus , but I am made of stone. Stone is good. Stone is strong , but stone is cold. Wood is average . Wood is breakable , but wood can burn bright. I can only hope that mighty armies might break my walls , les I be standing in my form of stone. © 2013 Ikai27 |
