TicketA Poem by Micheala DoverIt's their ticket
Across the world
A girl is sitting A razor in her hand It's her ticket Across the country A boy stands in his room A rope around his neck It's his ticket Miles away A mother sits alone A bottle in her hands It's her ticket In another town A brother is alone A long jump ahead It's his ticket In all of these places A family sits in silence The sounds of sobs are the only sounds A daughter used her ticket A son, mother, and brother They all used their one-way ticket And they can never return
