Trust

 

Trust is to love, what the sun is to a flower and just as the sun nourishes the flower, so trust nurishes love.

Without trust, love withers and dies.

This poem was simply written but has a wealth of meaning. Trust is a foundation for so many things.. it keeps things such as friendships, working relationships, and personal relationships alive. Without the ability to trust one another, there really is nothing at all. What could have grown into something beautiful just stagnates and dies... without a chance to grow to its full potential.

I like it IMOGEAN, love is about the lack of protection. You cannot open your heart to someone and try to protect it at the same time. This is where trust comes in. Without trust, we need walls around our heart to protect it. When we try to love with such walls, it always ends badly. As you say, without trust, love withers and dies.

Totally relatable that true! One needs trust in all aspects of their existance! Not only in themselves, but others and those things that they work with every day. A sailor wouldn't be able to sail, unless they trusted their sense of the wind and waves.
