Poet Within

There is this gift that has been given to me, 
Its always on and won't let me clearly see. 
I know it’s good and I know its right,
So there is no reason for me to fight.
I let it take control and root deep in my brain,
So that the words I write are never plain.
I just wish at times that I could rest,
And that everyday not be such a test. 
But it is what it is and I am what I am,
If I turned from it I’d be living a scam.
So I let it take me and turn over control,
Because as some know it’s just how I roll.
