Memory

Memory

A Poem by Corinna Bridgebury

The morning light is dimmed

The shades protect us

I wake to your hands

On my naked body

Your urgency kindles mine

I melt beneath your fingers

I drown in your eyes

Dark and deep

They swallow me whole

My lips on yours, my tongue "

And as I rise to meet you

I know

These are the best mornings.
