Sweet MemoriesA Poem by InfinityManWhen we get older, we start to lose our memories as the years melt away. I contemplated this.
The days grow long without you here
All that's left are sweet memories in my mind Though it pains me, I am old and they gradually disappear And dance away on the winds of time In winter's chill, it's hazy and less bright I search my mind for any trace that remains Hoping to come across a shred of lost memories through the night To find a single smile with you again Sometimes.. though weary, I make good! Sweet memories dance through my mind so gracefully Scenes I haven't witnessed in years appear playfully Then, vanish much more quickly than they should. Farewell sweet memories, I won't cling Briefly you were mine to behold Now set free to take wing Though gone, by God's grace I smile; consoled © 2025 InfinityManFeatured Review
