Charlie and Tessie

Charlie and Tessie

A Poem by InfinityMan
"

I have two Chihuahua doggos. They are my friends and companions. This is a poem about them.

"
Charlie and Tessie

In the quiet of the night, when the world is still,
Two keep my bed warm and my soul fulfilled.

Keen eyes shine like stars in the dark,
Hearts that know each other's rhythms, never apart.

They curl up by my side, their presence a balm,
Their soft breaths a lullaby, soothing as God's psalms.
With them, I find a peace that words cannot express,
A bond unspoken, a love that God has blessed.

Their touch is gentle, their spirits pure and bright,
They chase away the shadows, and keep watch through each night.
The Lord brought them to me, to care for, laugh, and play,
And while away the hours together every day.

While people may falter, these angels they stand true,
And at each sunrise, I sing their names to God anew.

And thank Him in prayers, for their lives, oh so brief,
That I have yet another day, not ending in grief.
