Do You Know?

This is something I've wanted to write for awhile, but never really knew what to say. I'm not sure if I even know right now. But oh well, this is what I got.

Do you know who you are to me?
Do you know what you’ve done to me?
Have you seen what you took from me?
You are everything that I try to be

Everything you say sounds so clear
You have everything I hold dear
All I want is you to be here
So why don’t I let you come near?

You are so close, yet far away
I’m so tired of feeling this way
Maybe things will change today
Maybe now you’ll be here to stay

How I really feel, no one knows
I hide my feelings; nothing shows.
Too much of you is like an overdose
But I want so bad to hold you close

 

I wish that we could be together
This is my goal, my endeavor
The bond I try so hard to tether
Is one you seem keen to sever


I just don’t know what to do
After all you’ve put me through
I wish that this were never true
I wish that I had I never met you

Aww... this makes me sad. Once again, the rhyme scheme and structure are wonderful.

Once again, the flow is amazing as well as the rhyme and I LOVE this line:

"Too much of you is like an overdose"

One of those lines that makes you wish you would have written it...
