Our sweet love

A poem inspired by my husband

Hide me away in our secret place,
Where no other heartbreaks I will face.
Tuck me away in your folds of love,
Where I'll coo as a mated lovesick dove.

In you I will find my soul's desire,
I'll burn for you like a star on fire.
At your touch I'll crumple to my knees,
Our love will roar like vast raging seas.

When my body has withered from many days
I'll be a scroll of a love story where beautiful words lay.
And when my eyes close and my heartbeat slows,
I'll fall asleep with our memories like fireflies dancing around me aglow.
