A Mothers SonA Poem by Ink AngelThis one I dedicated to my Son Liam xA Mothers Son Chubby hands, and chubby feet, I
just want to eat! Pleading hands
reaching up, so I can carry you down the Street. That smiley face is such a treat. Shiny Red cheeks, and teary eyes,
sometimes in pain, yet at times in laughter, I catch him as he falls and steady
him as he calls. That precious boy now clings to my
leg, looking up with those sad eyes, which sometimes make me want to cry. I wish I knew why? But I do deep inside. We can never turn back the hands of time, but
can make things better, and change the lines. He’s growing bigger by the minute,
living life with fighting spirit, on the rocky road you fall, rough and tumble
down you stumble, brushing off the muck, thinking how life sucks. But then again, don’t want to waste time on
moment that doesn’t go just fine. He is sensitive and kind, trying now
to make up his own mind. Mistakes he
makes, they right themselves. Life’s a
piece of Cake! But which bit you choose,
to take contributes to its state. He’s tall and fine now, that Son of mine. Strong and bold he stands, most of the time
he won’t be told. But I wouldn’t want it any other way, because that’s what
gets him, through day by day! Happy Go Lucky! The world is your Oyster. Go out and grab it! With both hands and make the wise choices. © 2012 Ink AngelReviews
