DESIRES IN CONFLICTA Poem by InkspireTug of war: chaos between unspoken desires and a conflicted heart.
Are you bored?
Hear me, just for a while. A girl, a life. Friends, family, always there. Tears fill her eyes. It’s their job, after all. Craving the spotlight, not for a reason, not for a moment that matters, just because a shadow passed through her thoughts and she couldn’t shake it off. She plays the silent game, wears an unreadable face. Jealousy stirs, anger simmers, possessiveness tugs her hair. The wanting churn, sharp little pricks she can’t ignore, but too small to be noticed. And then she gets it: eyes on her, words for her. At last, attention. Her heart swells with pride, with joy. But then she recoils. She hates it. She hates attention. So what does she want? © 2025 InkspireAuthor's Note
