Heart of Gold

Seven months has past
And my heart is frozen gold
Hard, since I saw you last
And like diamonds, it has turned cold

It still shines valued and luminous
But fragile and easily bent
Rare to find, yet cursed bituminous
Forever waiting for love, heaven-sent
