Half a HumanA Poem by Mark
When will the darkness
be just the end of the light? I swirl fast trying to bring her in sight. Sometimes, she is a face in blurred pastel, then she fades, into the black. Never here.again. So then I go on forgetting the ache, the wishing. When will I be enough? not this empty half loaf this stupid, longing pain oaf. Just enough. life lived. without the longing... I stuff it down, hide it away in the darkness. My Wishing pushed away, where it won't hurt where if I don't look for it I can smile and be at peace with never finding her. © 2016 MarkReviews
