My Search

My Search

A Poem by Mark
"

There is a fine line between need and obsession.

"
I'm not looking for your love to save me
I'm just trying to find that other half.
The rended tear, that won't let me be
needing to fill the ache in my soul
The clouds my imagination gets lost in
are soft and warm, dark and thin
If we fall from the fog and land too hard
let's try to make us one from the broken shards
I don't want to give this away again
but I'm not too frightened by the unknown
and maybe being too quick is my biggest sin
but I've been lying to myself, about being alone
I'm tired of this endless burn
The heat and blood, and unmended need
alive, while pain makes my heart churn
I'm tired of the search, the endless night bleed
You could heal my pain and make it right
You can't save me, I can only cope
but I can fill that place in your empty night
and be your star, give you my hope
Two into one, one against all
the emotional coaster is no thrill
let's put us together as we fall
before we become Love's next kill
