Brothers and Sister

Brothers and Sister

A Poem by Catherine Frain

I know that I haven't always been here for you,
Like I should have been.
I am the eldest, and you are my sister and brother.
I should have been there for you.

I should never have fought with you.
I have learned from you big brother,
and I have taught you, little brother.

I know that I haven't always listened to you.
I know that I have caused trouble.
I know that I am the youngest.
You both have taught me so much.

We are not blood, but we are family.
We stand as one. We shall not be torn apart.
