Snow Storm

Snow Storm

A Poem by Isaiah Jacob Barber

I am lost within this snow storm

Searching for what could be my destiny

I have been lost since I was born

There was a desire for all eternity

In the freezing cold, I’m about to fold

A journey that would be everlasting

Where is paradise in the stormy weather?

This pain seems to be never ending

It is cold where I stand

I wanted to hold your hand

Looked for a warming touch

Didn’t get it quite as much

Love would’ve healed my heart and mind

But this snow storm is what I find

The quest for love was not so kind

Now I’m left with my broken mind

What I found is a block of ice

Within it is a man cold as ice

Pain and misery is what you brought me

The man inside the block of ice… is me

A great poem with clear imagery and superb description! It's emotional darkness combined with it's physical frigidity makes for a great combination!
