Bird In Flight.A Poem by MaximusWhen Old Memories Collide.
I once had a girlfriend, so fair,
With golden locks and eyes so rare, We’d sit for hours, with nothing to share, Just staring at each other in blank despair. But then one day, she did depart, Leaving me with a broken heart, I searched high and low, far and wide, But all I found was a missing tide. Now I sit alone, on a park bench wooden, Contemplating memories long forgotten, Oh, how I long for those days so serene, When we used to argue over whose turn it had been. But alas, she is gone, like a bird in flight, Leaving me here, in this sleepless night, Oh, how I wish I could turn back the hour, And undo the time I spent in that shower.
