**"The Easiest Thing to Do"**

A Poem by ivy thornhill

He hides his love in simple acts,

A hoodie lent, a look held true,

Not grand with words or scripted lines"

But love, in him, still blooms for you.

He loves as if it’s second breath,

No doubt, no pause, no grand debut.

No need for fireworks or praise"

He loves as it’s the easiest thing to do.

She thinks she doesn't earn that grace,

Falling apart, her heart in flight.

Afraid he'll see the mess inside"

And turn from all her midnight fights.

But he just stays, his heart held wide,

No shame in scars, no need to flee.

He loves her through the ache and fear,

With every piece, with quiet glee.

Maybe one day she’ll truly see,

The love he carries, bold and bright.

Not to mend, but to shine a light,

And hold her close through darkest night.
