Today

Why should we worry about tomorrow,
When it is still a day away?
It seems more important to keep our attention,
On making it through today;

Today is the day to face our problems,
Tomorrow may be too late,
Today is the day to be concerned,
For tomorrow we may meet our fate;

Today is the day we should show our love,
To those who mean so much,
For tomorrow is a whole new time,
By then, we may be out of touch;

Today is the day to help our neighbor,
We should let someone know we care,
Today we know that we can help,
But tomorrow may not be ours to share;

Today is the day to teach our children,
What life is all about,
Tomorrow they'll be grown, and on their own,
Then our advice they can do without;

Today is the day to say we're sorry,
For tomorrow is not promised to be,
Today is the day to admit mistakes,
So our minds can stay clear and free;

Today is the day to open our eyes,
To the trouble our world is in,
It may take more than a day to accomplish things,
But, today is the day to begin.

This poem struck close to home, I've been very worried about moving in for college and all the challenges it will bring. However today is today and why not live it. The repetition helps to create an easy to read and easy to follow poem. In addition, opening with a question like you did was a very good attention grabber and kept me captivated by the proceeding lines.
