It's been a very long time
Since I could close my eyes
And see more than darkness
To see the images flow toward me
Appearing through the ripples of memories
Tucked deep away within my mind
Are the pictures of you
Your smile fills me warm
Kisses vaguely felt or remembered
Remind me once again
More than once, more than a friend
Who creates an abundance of random humor
To cause a volcanic eruption of laughter
Felt within and throughout
Healing what is left of the remnants of pain
And I smile with you
Is where I want to be
Healing together with no concept of time
