That is America in a nutshell. Its hypocrisy knows no bounds. To revile, subjugate, and impugn by castigating people of color as other. They can't seem to let go of the 3 5ths of a human ideology. Whenever they need a scapegoat for their failures in life they turn their anger towards those who don't look like them, or speak their language. We are only good at picking up their trash because that is how they see us. A moral reckoning is coming to this country because many refused to actually strive towards equity and equal opportunity for all. Instead clinging to their power that benefits them more socially than the rest of us. We are the ouroboros that snake which cynically devours itself for our hate is endless. Only at our own hateful demise can we ever hope that something better rises from the ashes. CLE

Yes, the U.S., despite her high ideals began with slavery, and change for the better has been slow, and seems to be slowing again.
