It's in our DNA ...in 12 lines

"
"Why are we spending so much on space exploration,
Professor Wix, when there's so much to do down here on Earth?"
~
"Exploration is in our DNA, Andrea, and while I agree it's
a hefty price to pay for scientific advancement and perspective,
I believe it's worth it."
~
" ... Perspective?"
~
"Astronomer Carl Sagan called Earth 'the Pale Blue Dot'
when he unveiled a photograph of Earth, taken by Voyager 1
in 1990 from a distance of 3.7 billion miles."
~
"Yes, my mother told me about that.
She said it humbled and empowered her."
~
"That's perspective, Andrea."

The final frontier. All I can say is...I am in awe of space. Everything about it fascinates me. That is my perspective on it. The number of galaxies alone (that we know of) blows my mind. I am all about space exploration, but it is true, there are some very important items on earth we should working harder on, like a cure for cancer. Nice one JD

Thanks willweb. It's hard to believe it's been over 50 years since men walked on the moon.

"Hubbled", Clever! wish I'd thought of it, Thanks Soren :)
Perspective is so much more powerful than truth.
I'm fascinated by outerspace. I'd like to go there one day.
For now I'll stick to my Cosmos episodes.
