Hilldale Quilting Circle's Guest Poet

"We are, each of us, a would-be lover," Byron Posey reads,
"in sweet hope of being one with another."
~
"Pretty words, Byron," Elsie heckles, "but isn't it true you
do these readings in hopes of an afternoon's coupling?!"
~
"Behave yourself, Elsie," he retorts, "this is the Hilldale Seniors
Quilting Circle! It's couplets I compose!"
~
"Who do you think you and your sagging couplets are
God's Gift?"
~
He winks. "What say we discuss this over a couple of Earle Greys
back in my room, Else?"
~
"Uh Huh! I'm on to you, you would-be rhyming Don Juan,
I say you and your couplets don't turn me on!"
