"Refresh my memory, Miriam," says Matthew. "What's MWSE?"

"The Milky Way Stock Exchange. GODCO has dropped another 8.7%."

All eyes lock on Mark. "AI is fast changing everything on 

Earth," he explains, "including investment trends."

"How so?" Luke asks him.

~

"AI units are on the cusp of being able to think for themselves,

of replacing our human units in the workforce."

"Surely it's a short-term problem at best," John interjects. 

"I mean, it's not like they can reproduce themselves ... is it?"

Miriam's brow furrows. "How long did it take human units to figure it out?"
