I'm Tired of Waitin'A Poem by J. F. CharlestonI'm so tired of it...
I feel my heart break again
Over the girl from back when I waited forever for her And I just kept getting my heart broke There ain't any reason to wait I just keep hurting myself I'm tired of waitin' For someone who just hurts I need a girl who is right for me She's probably out in the world Just surviving until I roll around Until she's found All my life I fall for the wrong one Even though I thought it'd be different It's all the same every time The ones in this city They ain't right for me In a town somewhere There will be someone Who can capture me I'm tired of waitin' For someone who just hurts I need a girl who is right for me She's probably out in the world Just surviving until I roll around Until she's found Oh, Lord I need to ask you Is there any woman out there That I can love and she will love in return? Lord, put her in my arms 'Cause I'm hurtin' now She can't be that far From where I want to be She has to be out in a field In the middle of nowhere Give me a set of keys To a truck and let me run Let me run away from here And let me be where my heart needs to be I'm tired of waitin' There ain't no denying I can't stand it any longer Lord, I'm tired of waiting Please do forgive me But I can't go on like this I need a sign, I need some help Lord, I'm tired of waitin' © 2013 J.
