Time

Time
the thing we could never get back
it's the sound from a clock we call a chime

Time, it can't get any slower
but sure can get faster
it's driving me crazy!

Why can't I just press pause
and take in the life around me?
Time never cares about the cause
it just keeps running free

Time, the never returning thing
the fast pace of the world
and the enemy of a human being

If there was a way to harness time
it would give us a chance to tame it
and it would leave romantic candles lit

Time doesn't wait on any of us
when we wait, time slips away
when we do something, it's here to stay
time doesn't take any fuss

We can spend our time, waste our time, sometimes mark the time, even use our time wisely. We can be on time, tell the time, find the time and even run out of time. However, we can never bank time, although we can save it.

I loved this poem. It really makes one stop, and take their careful time to read it...

From the moment we first draw breath...it seems that time just slips away in our rush to "begin living" ... the beginning is scary...the ending is sad...but the middle is what we spend the rest of our life figuring out...(I love the movie that came from) It's the messy bits that make the difference....(love that one too) but time as a whole keeps going no matter what we say to the contrary. When we can actually reverse or stop time for even a moment...we will be messing with something much greater than just the concept of time. Very true poem. Very true. :)
