Tribute to Coyote

A Poem by J. F. Charleston
"

A tribute to a good friend

"
A friend, a companion
A free being, living in captivity
A creature, who shares pity
A writer, whom you'll never imagine

Coyote

A soldier, a hero
A friend, a companion
Never to be forgotten

Coyote

A once traveler
Of the land
A lover
A bearer, of a golden band

Coyote

A writer, a poet
Of marvelous wonders
With a will to show it

Coyote

A friend, who shares pity
With a writer, in a big city
An honest viewer
In the midst of deceit

Coyote

A spirit, one to be free
At the end, shall always be

Coyote

Thank you for the poem. Life is to be lived and enjoyed. The young people need to dance, laugh and know no fear of tomorrow. People like us and all writers need to keep hope alive and strong. I appreciate the kind words.
