Whiskey LoverA Poem by J. F. Charleston
Sippin' and sittin'
Tonight I'm a doin' On this bottle of whiskey I once loved her I once liked beer But tonight, I love whiskey I see the devil At the bottom But I'm sippin' still 'Til he's got a chance to kill I once loved her I once liked vodka But those days are gone And whiskey is my love Hey bartender Hit me again I don't know what happened She packed her truck And yelled see ya She left a bottle of whiskey And now I'm here I hate her I love whiskey I can't fill this hole But whiskey can Hey who's that over there? Not the red head That whiskey she's drinking I like you I love what you're drinkin' But it needs some Coke Oh darn, girl I'm broke Because I'm a whiskey lover © 2013 J. F. CharlestonAuthor's Note
