A Poem by J. F. Charleston

Home, the place of peace
the place of family
the place of remembrance
the place of second chance

Home is where I long to be
out in the fields running free
embraced in my mother's arms
my people out in the farms

Home doesn't leave
it's something to believe
a unconditional love
a spiritual shove

Home takes time to find
when life ain't so kind
find it in friends
who go to the worlds ends

Home, the place of peace
the place of family
the place of remembrance
the place of second chance

Your powerful descriptions of a loving home is how it should be for all of us, my friend. Excellent piece. And worth memorizing.

What a great write your description of the way it feels to be home to be in a familiar loving enviroment is so subtle and sweet.

I agree with the logic of the word "home" in the poem. When we get older. We become the safe places we once knew of dear parent and grandparent. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

Something about being home. The feel, the security, the comfort, a place to lay your head. A simple word, home.
