A Poem by John Sullivan

moods high or low
a garden grows

we plant
in spring

watch
for what the weather
brings

my memories
of autumn past

i wonder why these things
will never last

winter's snow
and full moon's glow

amazed
by all the things we know

it takes a life to learn
and I know
I'm slow

marking time
on
sorrow's row

but by starlit shine
I'll drink of summer's wine

and
watch the weather
change

gentle time
a friend of mine

while all the seasons range

You're welcome.
Spring is definitely so.
The garden fares better in spring, the season of rebirth and flourishes in summer. Autumn brings decay and the winter death. We are like the seasons my friend. Our life in gardens. Pleased you posted. You are missed.

my marriages were like gardens.
Too many winters and eventually, the flowers never came back...and I put sign up on the garden saying: Out of order.
This poem is a comfort.
