I think you have given us a study in irony here. That book (I noticed you capitalized it toward the end) is probably the most simultaneously revered and ignored book in human history. The list of what it commands is also a catalogue of those things that are not done. If vengeance is truly the Lord's, I hope He (She, It or whatever) can be persuaded to look the other way occasionally.

Thanks for reading this one, J the B. It's an uneven piece at best. It just... if we're to take scripture seriously, which I sometimes think we might... it's not too complicated to parse out what we should do or not do, as outlined in the poem. The book also states that the good Lord will leave the wicked to wander in their trespass until the coming of a day of some kind, a day of punishment. Which is all well and good, I suppose, just how many are supposed to suffer for their insanity first? A lot of frustration these days.
