Enjoyed the thoughtfulness here, brevity I travelled with John. Hope you are ok amid the chaos.

I'm fortunate enough to be busy enough most of the time, and have some things to occupy my time coming up. Which is good, if more in the "stay placid, immerse yourself in work" sense... which we all need sometimes. Thanks for stopping by, Chris.
Lovers can so often talk into the night, others supposedly say words then turn their backs to sleep because that's what they've always done! No matter the choice of topic, life goes on as it always has.. for some.

If the first war was thought to be a grand idea, why oh why are people still trying to get it right?
Is it war that's so important or - the wish to conceive the very best weapon? Methinks that could be the finish end of our planet.

It's easy to blame corrupt politicians and leaders... but it's the common people who seem hungry for the violence as well these days, at least in America. Would that one could blame the shepherd, but the flock appears to be made of wolves. All I know is American culture, and the truth is... it's very, very sick. Deep darkness in this country, going way back now. So much hate and division in our history and now our present. Why? How? I don't know. But I don't gaze into my crystal ball and see much good coming down the road too soon, either. You are, of course... correct though. It's madness. A mass madness. I dunno, wish I had something profound to say on the subject, but I don't.
Dark days, Ms. Emma, but lovely chatting. Be well.

Power appears to reach for a hasty conclusion which appears to contain the death of a so-called enemy's forces and of course - BUT often forgotten, more of a leader's own men and woman.
What happened to turn our planet into an endless bout of crazed creatures!
That without insult intended to the four-legged creatures on our planet.

I think often of my old cat, whom I miss terribly. He was my little friend through some dark times. We should all have pets, I think. To have another creature of some kind to look after and care for... maybe that's what went wrong. No-one had a puppy or a kitten growing up to look after. A furry little friend to make the troubles of the day go away. Silly thoughts, but it's important to have things to care about outside ourselves, you know? Self obsession, lack of self control... as it goes I just woke up, so my thoughts are a discombobulated mess, but I toast you with my coffee cup Ms. Emma, for your fine thoughts this morning.

Give a two legged being a pet of any kind and you turn him or she into a true human in every sense of the word 'being'! My hot chocooate mug toasts you!

In college/university I took astronomy and learned about the syzygy, an alignment of the moon and sun, which is as fun to say as it is to spell. It's been many years now since I had a pet, and it might be high time to get another. I love love love dogs, but always have had cats. They're easier, in some ways, more self reliant... but I've known some great dogs in my time. Truly fine companions. I've even had some surprisingly friendly fish. More personality than you'd think.

However, more people could stop stealing them from the oceans and learn to live on soil grown goodness. That said, many object to pulling them from their home. Perhaps we human beings aren't meant to live as long as those items supposedly set to earth before us!?

I swear, it's good for you. To just float there, like being in the womb, maybe. Or to move as gracefully as our awkward human frames can allow, like the dolphins a bit. I love being in the water, now that's something I haven't done in years. I live in the American state of Rhode Island, our smallest state, known colloquially as the "Ocean State"... We've got lovely Narragansett Bay, Matunuck Beach... ahhhh, the ocean. Fine thoughts this morning, Ms. Emma.

But - have a friend with a small house but good indoor pool! Her husband was bequeathed he land and so, it was his decision to have less house but reasonable size pool! She stills joked that we became good friends cos I wanted to be invited to use her pool.
I just grin and/or laugh when she says that. We have been friends for about twenty five years!!!

I was a vegetarian for a few years, and have been thinking about going back to it. I happen to eat meat at the moment, mostly.... incidentally, but if I had to hunt? Couldn't do it. I like our four-legged friends too much. Too much humanity in them.

Everyone should go out hunting once. From that day on you know what kind of food you prefer!
That said, many would question the pleasure of pulling up a plant from its homely soil!
Then, tis done that one can eat or drink this or that produced in a laboratory!

I've given this some thought. We are a small state, only a few square miles (not sure how it works out in kilometers), but we've got some farmland. If I could keep cheese and dairy, I'd be happy. Maybe meet the cows. Ethically sourced food was a big deal in the States a while back... but the older I get I can't help but wonder. Give me cheese and you can keep meat or poultry or whatnot. Nutritionally sound, as it goes. And so very tasty. I couldn't hunt, good on you for trying it. I feel guilty even fishing, poor little fellers now with a hole in the lip.

Emma, I'm afraid by the accident of Fate, I must take my leave of you this morning. I have an appointment I must keep... but, well, if the mood should ever strike you to stop on by, certainly don't be a stranger on my humble little corner of the internet. You're always welcome. Take care, sir. :)
There are so many rules to love John. I thought i was in love once, but the symptoms of shortness of breath and dizziness turned out to be carbon monoxide poisoning from my boiler. Now I have to secretly go get my ears checked just in case its tinnitus now?
Its so hard to tell these days especially in Scotland where we just had a game force weekend.
Chimes in scotland are never met with anything other than a restraining order from your neighbours. But I am told they sound pretty during a nice breeze.
Ps, what's a nice breeze? 😃
