Spread-eagled swimming, my desire thirsts

For something granting uplifting freedom.

The needle posed reading for insertion.

Inside, it dives. Breaking ground. Digging in.

Opening veins, sensations wild, cutting

The fine line as my arm seeps, my blood weeps.

Hungry for this sweet sexy succulence.

I dive higher than the moon. Howl out loud.

My half-body longs for this addiction.

Praying on the ribbon’s edge. Losing faith.

Need more.

Life exists as nothing but a number.

Need more

I try to cry. My tears run desert dry.

Need more

Reaching for it, I miss. My mind erupts.

Need out

Knife replaces needle. My blood weeps louder.

Hard, against the wall. Hard, against the down.

Harsh, but a reality for far too many. Well written. Kudos. Reminds me a bit of a piece I wrote years ago called "The Addiction". Yours is much better.
