Oh how clever! I can see how much fun you're having in this poem - I love how each stanza encompassess a different mode of how the cat's react to the world around them. The last stanza is a especially clever, with all the "cat" words - "catastrophic," I think, fits the best. Some of the other words perhaps not so much, but I can still see what you're going for. My favorite line is the one that compares the kitty to a motorbike - it's so true! Thank you for making me smile!
This was indeed pure fun, yet the dichotomy of cats shone through: elegant but with primeval hints. Social AND solitary, depending on mood. One cat can leave such an impression upon a family that when they go, they cannot be replaced nor forgotten. This piece seemed to embody that feeling quite well. Cheers.
Even being a "dog person", I could appreciate all the wonderful characteristics of cats in this delightfully written poem. I particularly liked the last lines of each verse ..Cats are fussy, you see....., Cats can be cruel, you see... I thought that added a wonderful element and made it even more enjoyable to read. It is as if you are introducing the characteristics of cats to someone who has never laid eyes on one before. Just for fun - oh yes, by all means.

Very cute! I love cats! more than dogs...I have 2 of them. One of my cats loves me, and when I see him inspires me to write a poem too. I never wrote one yet, but this one says a lot of the same things I had in mind. You write in short stanzas, which, in a way, represents cats thinking. Most of them are quick, open to new things, and curious. i like that about this poem. thanks!
I loved this. As owner of two bundles of fluff n fun myself, this poem perfectly sums up the lighter- and darker nature to cats. It's a really sweet, touching poem with a lovely quaint rhyming scheme. Fantastic. Well done!
I live in England, and love the English countryside, the music of Elgar and Holst which describes it so beautifully and the poetry of John Clare, the 'peasant poet' and Gerard Manley Hopkins, which d.. more..
