WINTER JOYS (But not for ducks)A Poem by JohnLFor Sal's Minute Poem Contest
WINTER JOYS
There is a season of delight
In winter time;
Ice meets our sight
Eyes gaze on rime.
While hoar frost drapes the trees in white,
Our hands are cold
But skies are bright
And we are bold
so sledge the ice upon the lakes,
to scatter wide
stray ducks and drakes
that block our ride.
