mamaA Poem by Joseph B Clipperfor my mama
Mama I almost thought I raised myself
and gave credit for me to somebody else I forgot that I cried on your shoulder but i'm grateful now that i'm older mama you're the spirit that moves me for you i'll be the best I can be always giving and never getting much at all I hope you like it that i've written you a song you taught me how to keep the wolves at bay I thank you for all of my days I really thought you should know i'm proud of you and I love you so december 25 1981 © 2014 Joseph B Clipper |
