The Void

 

 There is a place that dwells inside.

Where fear and pain are known to hide.

Growing and growing and burning inside.

Consuming my thoughts and devouring my pride.

Driven by hunger and expanding inside.

 No light in the distance and no safe place to hide.

Shrouding my soul, as the light fades inside.

           Withdrawn, disconnected and fearful I hide.

Sitting in the hands of solace, no emotion, no pride.

Nothing much left except emptiness inside.

           My emotion is gone along with my happiness and pride.

There is a place that dwells inside.

Where fear and pain are known to hide.

The void is real and it exists inside.

The void is deep and where I will hide.

Look into the void and you will find me inside.
